The following is the list of tools all apprentices are required to have on-the-job.
- 1 pair 8” or 9" side cutting pliers
- 1 pair long nose pliers
- 1 pair diagonals
- 3 standard screwdrivers, assorted sizes
- 2 phillips screwdrivers, assorted sizes
- 2 pairs of channel lock pliers
- 1 - 25’ tape measure
- 1 - 6’ rule
- 1 allen wrench set – to 3/8 inch
- 1 roto-split
- 1 socket or ratchet wrench 3/8 to 3/4 with Drive
- 1 torpedo level
- 1 pocket knife
- 1 hacksaw frame
- 1 claw hammer
- 1 voltage tester
- 1 pencil
OPTIONAL - Apprentices may furnish additional small hand tools at their option, EXCLUDING battery or power operated tools, and benders.
Although our apprentices are required to attend related instruction classes at our training center in person, much of our curriculum, including homework, is delivered online, then discussed and tested in class.
