The following is the list of tools all apprentices are required to have on-the-job.

• 1 pair 8-inch Klein Pliers (or equal)
• 1 pair diagonals
• 3 standard screwdrivers, assorted sizes
• 2 phillips screwdrivers, assorted sizes
• 1  25’ tape measure
• 1 pair long-nose pliers
• 1  6’ rule
• 2 pair of channel lock pliers
• 1 pocket knife
• 1 voltage tester
• 1 allen wrench set – to 3/8 inch
• 1 socket or ratchet wrench 3/8 to 3/4 with drive
• 1 pencil
• 1 claw hammer
• 1 torpedo level

OPTIONAL - Apprentices may furnish additional small hand tools at their option, EXCLUDING battery or power operated tools, and benders. 

Although our apprentices are required to attend related instruction classes at our training center in person, much of our curriculum, including homework, is delivered online, then discussed and tested in class.  Apprentices will need laptops or tablets (not smartphones) in order to participate.  CLICK HERE for detailed system requirements to utilize our online Blended Learning courses.
